Writing the Africa We Dream!

A global creative writing platform for young African voices
AfroImagine is a digital creative writing platform created to spotlight the imagination, experiences, and cultural pride of African children aged 8–17, both at home and across the diaspora. We invite young writers to envision, express, and shape the Africa they dream of through writing.
AfroImagine is a literary movement rooted in imagination, culture, and the bold creativity of African children.
Through stories, poems, essays, and dreams of all shapes, we invite young writers to imagine, express, and shape the Africa they carry in their hearts, not the Africa that is often spoken about, but the Africa they wish to experience, hope for, and dream into existence.
It does not matter where your child lives; in Lagos, Nairobi, London, Johannesburg, Accra, or Atlanta, anywhere, AfroImagine is a home for their voice; a place to explore African identity, culture, and creativity through powerful, original writing. From everyday fiction to futuristic storytelling, from poetry to personal reflection, we celebrate work that honours Africa’s richness, diversity, and possibilities.

Our Vision
To nurture a new generation of African storytellers who write with purpose, confidence, and creativity, and whose stories help the world see Africa through their eyes.
