The Firewood That Wouldn’t Burn

John, Dave and Grandpa were camping in the middle of a dark forest on a cold and windy night. They had taken a stroll in the morning and had come back to this weather. They were all very, very cold and they needed some warmth. So Grandpa decided to go and fetch some firewood to start a fire. But what they didn’t know was that they had stepped inside a magical forest and a great surprise was awaiting them….

Grandpa came back with the firewood and placed it in a certain place and took out a lighting material to set it on fire.

However, it didn’t set on fire. However hard he tried, it just wouldn’t budge.

‘Oh dear, this firewood won’t burn, what shall we do?’ said John.

‘Don’t worry, we will figure something out’ said Grandpa.

That’s when he saw the markings. Grandpa saw that the wood was protected and they should not have touched the wood. Grandpa had been here before, and this incident was new.

Then Dave saw a bush move in front of him. They followed the thing that had moved in the bushes. It was quite quick, and they soon had to run. They finally caught it, and they saw that it was a fox. The fox was cornered and tried to escape, but then he simply disappeared. The forest was never enchanted again and they were able to create a fire for the night.
