Where’s the Great Talking Drum?

The sun was setting, and the colourful lantern lit up the village square.

Everyone was excited for the evening dance until someone gasped.

“What?” Guys, where’s the Great Talking Drum?”

This drum was special, It could shout out messages to the forest, wake up the fireflies, and even made the old trees sway in a lovely dance.

“A light everyone!” shouted Kelechi. “Me and my friends are searching all your rooms” said Kelechi confidently.

“Once we find it, we will do what we’ve been waiting for.”

As soon as that speech ended, Kelechi went looking for that drum thinking where it had last been.

People were quite nervous about searching their rooms, but it wasn’t in any of their rooms.

Then Kelechi remembered. When he was going to sleep last night, he put the drum inside and the next day, he forgot it was there and left his room. He ran as fast as he could to his room and then he saw the drum lying down peacefully on his table.

After he found it, he brought it out, and people started cheering. After that, Kelechi played some cool Igbo music, and everyone danced to the music.

Luckily, they didn’t lose any of their instruments because they were all in his room.
